NO Gains Without Pains
Nurzaman is a high only school and
he graduate he did not continue to university or academy. He is at home now
doing nothing , but practicing in english. His ambition is simple. He wants to
be a tourist guide or a staff of a foreign company or an office where English
is used as a means of communication, but his English is still very bad.
Here is astory of Nurzaman on how he is
madly learning English without thinking of his time.
Every morning he listens to the BBC
English News. Then he listens to English songs before he practices English by
himself. He reads novels, short stories, news paper and magazines. By reading
those books, he gets allot of new words. His English dictionary really kelps him improve his english. With
his English dictionary, he can study how to pronounce the words, phrase, and
sentence. His horizon of the world is much better.
In
the afternoon, he practices writting and speaking speak English. He
writes sentences or storiaes, essay, article, etc. Some of his writtings are
published in a local publishing company. He often finds foreigners at tourism
object too.
At night, he allways listens to the VO A
or the Voice of America. Then he allways watces english films on TV too.
On the way to a tourism object, he came
across a notice about a vocancy to work abroad
on a Floathing Hotel then he cut
his tour and went home and tried to collect all requirements to send. His
parents prayed for him. He wanted to join a special test and training for three
months in Jakarta.
A week later, he got a letter informating
that he was admitted to work on a luxurious cruiser ship the ss ROTHERDAM, He
was really happy. His salary was very good. Once in two month he could send
home part of his earnings. IN addition, He could travel from one country to
another. He enjoyed the life of sea.
He has two months off. He is going to
travel to bali and Sumbawa. There, he wants to buy some tradisional batiks and
then he wants to sell them on board leter.
Today he is at home. He really a BOSS
here. Some of his old friend come and listen to his amazing story on

OH, MOTHER AND FATHER
Samono and Jarizah were husband and wife.
They lived in poor condition. They had three chlidreen, two girls, and one boy.
The often grumbled and quarreled about their life. Facing their life burden,
tgey never thought of their perent's live.
one they they visited their parents. They
did not give money or food for their parents. Instead they put forth about
their family problems's. They also asked help from their parents who were too
old to think something difficult.
I'm sorry father and mother. I have a lot
of problems in my family. I am in debt. Your grandchildren need much money
today. "They are studying in senior high school and university", said
jazirah.
"I'm sorry to heear that, but your
parents can not do anything, child. We don't have anything to lessen your debt".
Jazirah's mother said.from their mother, jazirah and sumano went back home.
They never visited their parents again. They thought that their parents did not
care of their children's problem.
Last month jazirah's neighbour told her
that her parents got sick but there was not response from jazirah and sumano.
It seemed that they did not want to hear the news about their parents.
"Mrs. Jazirah, your parent got
sick", andone of jazirah's neighbour told her.
"Thank you information jazirah answer",
Jazirah said.
Jazirah kept not visit her parents. On
the contrary, she went to Jazirah's family in Bali and Sumanp's family in
makassar to borrow some money to lessen their debt. Nothing. All jazirah's and
Sumano's families were in debt too.
When arriving home from Bali and Makassar,
Jazirah's mother died. Jazirah could not stand crying. She regretted very much.
She was so sad to hear the news. Then she rushed to her parents house. There
were a lot of person flooded their parent's house.
"I'm sorry, father. It is my fault.
You are getting sick becouse of me. Forgive me. Punish me father", she
could not stop crying
A week later Jazirah felt that it was
really her fault. She blamed herself. She would not hurt her mother again. She
promised to love and care her mother
